Our Clinic provides an independent assessment when there is unresolved conflict between the Children’s Aid Society (CAS) and parents over supervision, placement, treatment planning, access arrangements and/or child custody. The assessments are typically court ordered and are conducted by a clinical or forensic psychologist. They are designed to assist Courts. Lawyers, Children’s Aid Societies, and other community agencies in making decisions for families that are in the best interests of the children. The Clinic is an independent and neutral agency and does not replace the work of the CAS.
